A tongue in cheek tale of some super-marijuana that accidentally creates first some giant spiders and later a human spider dude. To make the whole thing truly grim and gritty, it all takes place at an out of the way strip club. Ok, not so much grim and gritty as lighthearted, goofy and chock full o’ topless babes.
I enjoyed it. It wasn’t boring or stupid, it was done well, for what it is. Bite Me! is another one that reminds me of the days of Drive In Theater with Joe Bob, I miss that and this is right up his alley. Actually, I can’t think of a movie that would be more up his alley, it’s quite possible that the filmmakers were fans as well.
You got this CGI spider, but he looks kinda like a stop-motion plastic spider from a 50’s flick. To further add to this goof, its facial features are human-ish, with eyes and a mouth that actually growls. Double cheese on this one. He chases around and bites some truly hot strippers, with the high point being Misty Mundae fighting it in the shower, jiggling, screaming sexy spider fighting fun.
It’s not very scary. In fact, if you rent a movie with a title like this and a cover like this and expect scary, you’re kinda stupid. You’re probably illiterate and can’t even read this. Stop pretending, you’re just embarrassing yourself.
Anyway, it’s all about cheesy humor and cheesecake, and it’s not bad. I’m not saying it’s a good flick, but it’s an amusing, well acted and well produced horror parody in the vein that’s seemed to run dry in the last couple decades.
A cast that’s both solid and really hot, along with an attitude valuing entertainment above all else, you could do a lot worse than Bite Me!
