Lose your innocence or lose your life.
A slasher is stalking virgins in the peaceful town of Cherry Falls, once the kids find out his MO, they react in the only sensible way they can a sex party.
An interesting idea, Cherry Falls was a fresh take on slashers. Let’s face it, the Slasher genre is pretty much dead. There hasn’t been a watch able new slasher in years, we’re living on remakes and sequels, so it’s nice to see someone making a serious effort in the area, even if it never gets off the ground.
It was too modern American, which means no skin or gore. Slashers started as borderline exploitation, and thanks to Scream and IKWYDLS and more money by attracting younger audiences, they’re becoming more and more sanitized with each year.
It’s still nice to see a movie that’s not a complete rip off, a decent little story, good actors and an interesting enough plot to disturb you a little. There were some decent kills, but it’s really set more for the 14 year olds than real horror fans.
Also a little boring throughout, but if you need to see a slasher film that isn’t completely derivative, I recommend.
