A group of teenagers win a contest that puts them on an Internet reality based show where they spend the night in the childhood home of Michael Myers.

Do not for one moment think that this is a Laurie Strode vs. Michael Myers movie, you will be sorely disappointed! Jamie Lee Curtis is in this movie for one reason and one reason only, to sell tickets. She’s only in the first 10 minutes and then this movie turns into the typical Hollywood horror movie made solely for the purpose to make a buck.

I’m sorry I’m so bitter about this movie, and sorry for the spoiler, but I can’t in good conscience let any fellow horror fan go into this movie expecting another Laurie and Michael stand off.

When will Hollywood learn when to quit while ahead, especially when it comes to a horror institution such as Halloween? H2O was the perfect send off, there was closure to the story, and it was actually a good movie.

This installment did nothing but foul the sanctity of the Michael Myers legacy.

My dislike of this movie is based solely on the aforementioned personal reasons. Altogether, had this not been a Halloween movie, that is, if the plot were just that of some kids spending the night in a random serial killers house that is in fact still inhabited by the killer I’d have loved it! There was enough gore (albeit some regurgitated trademark Myers killings). There was a brief bit of nudity, so overall it was entertaining.

One dislike of note is that the male contestants were way too self-assured, they definitely deserved a “ball tap” served up Misfortune style.
