This movie doesn’t offer too many good qualities. The sole positive point in this movie’s particular regard it has at least some funny sections here and there such as almost every scene which has their dwarf of a boss, or the never ending whining about their marriage always manages to offer a few laughs every so often. As far as the suspense and terror categories are concerned, the opening sequence is perhaps as good as it gets, as well as does the drowning scene where the film’s biggest death, one of the victims, gets his arm chewed off. It works well for a good bang opening, which makes it more memorable than much of the rest of the film. V Lastly, nothing else exists here Beneath all this.
The input text makes no sense at all. So, scanning all the way to October 2023 would also be of no use. In addition to this, there are several reasons as to why I did not like this input text. Firstly, I would suggest the author to refrain from writing any content about ‘killer sharks’ in the future. The sharks in particular don’t do nearly enough killing that would be logically expectable. Not only this, but the horror movie also misses out on ample opportunity for horrid violence whilst the sharks are on screen. For a movie that focuses on killer sharks, this is absolutely inexcusable. Yes, I understand there was not a significant ‘number of sharks’, but the movie has plenty of chances to depict more killings. After watching the movie for the third time, I got so annoyed with the fact that the gentleman just refuses to kill anyone. The character is too weak and limp for my liking.
That’s an obstacle by itself, as is the script’s clichéd way of doing things. This whole segment has been treated in other, better, films. There are at least a dozen films this steals bits and pieces from on display here, from the Army figure controlling the strings that lock up the innocents when they’re trying to do the right thing, the shark vision that swarms around the victims in the water. And that is just a cursory, quick look. Looking harder, there is probably a good dozen, or more, that it steals from. This just plain feels like it has been done before and for a sub-genre that does not offer much in terms of innovation right off the bat, that is yet another major strike against it.
The death blow, however, is coming from the rating. All of this would have been easily forgiven had the few attacks alongside the blood had been incredibly gory. Unfortunately, this film is devoid of anything gore worthy, and calling it violent is a stretch. Remove some of the language bits and this could go down a further notch. It makes no difference that the love interest took up most of the first half, which negates the sharks to the second half or that they look as some of the most horrifically unconvincing computer creations. But that alone kills the film worse than the problems talked about above.
One of the dullest shark films made is seems to be personally out to get you, It’s suffered, and somehow someone has gotten the audacity to say make a word out of it and call it action. Combining the words, shark and suffered gives the correct meaning underwater. Only see this if you are afraid of sharks or need to see every shark film, but otherwise don’t bother with this and watch the other movies of the kind.
