Broken Lizard is the comedy team that produced Super Troopers, a surprisingly hilarious, offbeat comedy. With maple chugging contests, and State Troopers saying ‘Meow’, it’s humour that you can’t explain, but is solid gold on the big screen.
Their next movie, Club Dread, was considered ‘unwatchable’, but I still enjoyed it for the smoking hot babes and the serial killer plot.
The latest Broken Lizard movie will be a winner I hope. It’s called Beerfest and it will come out in theatres in America on August 25. Who knows when it’ll come out in Australia maybe when the last gorilla is slaughtered.
The premise of the movie is a twist on Fight Club two Americans travel to Germany to discover a secret beer drinking club, complete with initiations and rituals. We can only hope that Broken Lizard will continue their proud tradition of including pointless nudity and smoking hot babes.
