Things are pretty good. I went to see my friend’s band play last night at the Marquee, and I had a decent ginger beer in a comfortable cafe.
Yeah, I’ll probably go out this weekend, though I’ve got some volunteer stuff on. Then probably, I’ll ambush an English convoy as they make their way to a fortified camp in upstate New York. Me and my indian brothers will kill all the English, and scalp them.
Yep, a pretty average weekend.
If my actual life is like that, there’s no reason for me to watch a Hollywood production based on the war between the French and the English, and the indian tribes that they subverted, is there?
And neither is there a reason for you to watch this objectionably dull movie.
I say: I couldn’t even finish watching this movie, it was so cheesy, unrealistic and awkward. Why is it so popular?
See it for: Daniel Day Lewis does an adequate job, though nothing like My Beautiful Launderette, or even Gangs of New York. Also, Indians are always cool, especially when they ambush stuffy English officers in the thick American forest.
To watch more movies like The Last of the Mohicans (1992) hurawatch
