Short Summary
An ambitious man and woman set each other up in an attempt to further their careers. Could love possibly ensue?
Review
If you’re gonna watch a chick flick, choosing one that is largely focused on how to drive women away is a good idea you somehow feel more manly. Throw in the ever-adorable Kate Hudson you could do a lot worse than this female oriented film. The two stars do have very good chemistry and it’s certainly not difficult to relate to the frustration of McConaughey with the womanly ways in which Hudson’s character interrupts his lifestyle.
There is also an element of deception and competition in the movie that all men can understand. As opposed to other romantic comedies, falling in love is not the cheesy goal for most of the movie but when it not so shockingly occurs, even the toughest of males can smile at the good fortune.
