Faud Ramses is back! Well his grandson, Faud the III is, anyway. After inheriting his grandfather’s old catering business, he cleans up the old shop and gets ready to have his grand opening. An old artifact in the back of the store summons Faud to do it’s evil biddings, and before you can say “order up,” young Faud the III is following in his grand daddy’s footsteps and trying to resurrect the goddess Isis. The victims are fresh and the gore is served in ample amounts in Blood Feast 2: All U Can Eat!
Nearly forty years after the original cult flick Blood Feast hit screens, splatter director supreme Herschell Gordon Lewis returns to tell the next blood drenched chapter in the Ramses Catering saga, and seconds have never been so filling!
Gore, humor, gore, ample T&A gore, every B movie cliché and finally gore are all to be found in this highly entertaining film.
What makes Blood Feast 2 so good, is that it embraces what it is and runs with it. At no time does the film take anything about itself seriously, and neither will you as everything is way over the top, from the acting to the blood drenched scenes of various dismemberment and eviscerations, this flick rules and doesn’t apologize for a damn thing!
The story is almost identical to the original, except this if Faud’s grandson, instead of the original crazy caterer. Played by J.P. Delahoussaye and he is a blast. Stalking victims while wearing oven mitts is fun enough in itself, but listening to him talk to his victims and explain how they are going to be used in his recipes is just priceless. Also the two detectives Loomis and Myers (HA!) are hilarious and the actors are all fun to watch.
The blood and gore doesn’t just flow in this film, it pours a constant roaring stream into your living room, so make sure you have your life jacket handy. The effects are cheesy, but extremely effective. Whether Faud is pulling out a tongue or extracting a liver or some brains the carnage is nearly off the charts. There are also some great moments of dark humor in this one, not just in the killer but in the scenes with the detectives and victims, nothing is really off limits. The characters also had me rolling at times, I mean with names like Tiffany Lamply, Bambi Deere, Trixe Treeter and my personal favorite Lacy Hundees, what’s not to enjoy? Also nearly every female on screen shows more than their share of skin, so that’s always a plus.
