Underneath a small town university, Professor Curien has been working on a top secret experiment, but as un-luck would have it things have taken a turn for the worse and the student body are going to be the ones that pay for it. In only twenty-nine days the campus has been overrun and the military has been called in. But what could have caused so much chaos in so little of time? Could it be binge drinking? A severe out break of pubic lice? How about a rabid goat? Well maybe if Uwe Boll was involved with this one, but wrong again. The answer is zombies folks, nothing more and nothing less, that’s right the dead are back and this time their getting some higher education!
Dead Aim is the sequel to House of the Dead, the Uwe Boll shitfest that has become near legend. But the question is this flick better or worse without the efforts of Mr. Boll? Well, hell yeah it’s better you dumbass! Read on.
House of the Dead II: Dead Aim, is a much better and way more enjoyable film than the original, but it’s still pretty bad in nearly all aspects. The story is at least a little more like the actual video game and some of the effects and gore are pretty good, but the cheese is still piled high on this one.
In a nutshell it goes like this: wacky professor, briefly played by Sid Haig, gets bit by his pet zombie, stumbles into an alley causes a zombie out break and cliché elite military squad is called in to investigate and squash said zombie outbreak. From here it goes into the standard death of a soldier, kill a few zombies mode that is well known to zombie fans.
Along the way the movie injects some humor into itself with not only character actions but with little tongue in cheek gags and references, like how the outbreak takes 29 days later to be complete. There are lots of little gags like that to see and hear if you’re up to date on your horror movie trivia, some are blatant others are a little more obscure.
The effects are pretty decent as some of the shamblers look pretty nifty and the crew is able to come up with a few new versions of zombie to enjoy, like the football zombie and the hippie zombie. Nothing is really outstanding but everything looks pretty good. Speaking of looking good the cast of Dead Aim are smoking! Emmanuelle Vaugier, Victoria Pratt, Ellie Cornell and Nadine Velazquez all provide ample cleavage to cure your cheesecake hunger and for the ladies and Paynecraft: Sticky Fingaz, Ed Quinn and Sid Haig provide the beefcake.
