A young woman goes to a prison with a mean but sexy warden, there are catfights and an escape plan. That’s pretty much it.

One of the lamest Women in Prison flicks, and definitely one of the most uninspired of Franco’s work. This one could pass as a really boring, but completely mainstream flick in the uncut version. There is a re-edited version with hardcore sex added, but I understand it’s just some sex hoping to make the movie interesting, and failing. Some call it his serious work, or his ambitious work, I consider these people idiots who don’t understand or respect exploitation, Franco, or much of anything. It’s boring, how is that an improvement over his others? Is boring ambitious? Are you a dong?

The annoying thing is not only is the exploitation mostly absent, so is the camp. There’s a little lesbianism in it, but that’s as good as it gets in this one. You can say Franco was trying something in it, but I think it’s pretty clear that it was just phoned in. Putting a rape scene and a catfight in a movie doesn’t make it exploitation.

Don’t get me wrong, Franco’s the master of exploitation, but he also tends to fluctuate between incredibly sadistic sleaze to utter crap. Here’s some of the latter.
