This remake of the film by the same name in 1976, and the TV movie in 1995 of the same name holds up well with Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan in the lead roles. The mother and daughter learn a lot about each other when they end up changing bodies, and assuming each others lives for a while. Their relationship has been on the rocks as of late with Dr. Tess Coleman’s (Jamie Lee Curtis) upcoming marriage, and fifteen year old Anna’s (Lindsay Lohan) troubles at school.

Stuck in their own troubles’ without really appreciating the troubles of the family around them’ they have the opportunity to have a first hand look after the switch. One of the best parts of the film is when the two try to handle the problems of the other. They had thought it would be so easy to live the life of another’ but quickly find the error of their ways.

Jamie Lee Curtis does an excellent job portraying a mother who is organized as all get out, but who doesn’t have an inkling of a clue about what is really going on with her daughter. Her life is all cell phones, and trying to help her clients back from the brink of whatever ails their mind. Lindsay Lohan as Anna is the real star of the show. She goes from high school rocker to prim mother in the blink of an eye’ and in quite convincing fashion.
