Amy Jenson has just become engaged and posted her announcement in the newspaper. The problem is there is a serial killer who preys on newly engaged women. After being rejected at the alter himself, the vengeance filled killer is out to make all women pay for what was done to him. One of the earliest 80’s rip off slasher flicks, this film has only a few things going for it.
One, a pretty good reason for a killer’s revenge motive, it is pretty original. Two, a tremendous ending. Three, a few kills that are right out of urban legend myths, the opening scene in a movie theater was also used in Scream I believe, or Scream 2 who the hell can tell with those suck-ass films? And finally, this little gem is the first feature film of one Tom Hanks, that’s right kiddies, little Tommy did a slasher, never heard him mention that when he won an Oscar or two did ya?
Although slow at times, this film’s not too bad, there is some decent slasher gore and a lot of chasing towards the end, but there is enough to get you through the night. like I said, a very decent ending and you don’t have too bad of a film, even if Tom Hanks thinks so.
