short Summary
In order to move on from a painful breakup, both sides of a couple have their memories of the other one erased.
Review
I wouldn’t say the movie itself is bad, it was nominated for some awards, but I personally just hated it. The movie traces Kinsey’s life from childhood to adult and focuses on his research techniques used to write his book on male sexuality. Straight up, this movie is slow, boring and uninteresting. I almost fell sleep and finally I convinced my girlfriend, who picked out the movie, to shut off the film half way through. I don’t think I’ve ever not finished a movie I rented but Kinsey drove me to do so. It was that painful.
I think the main problem I had was that I had just seen Batman Begins the night before and seeing Liam Neeson as the villian Raz Azul one night then as the researcher Kinsey the next was too much for me to handle. The only redeeming quality for this movie is that it reaffirms what I knew long ago Never let your girlfriend pick out a drama and just because a movie is about sex, doesn’t mean that it is good.
