I don’t know what it is (I really do, but am not at liberty to discuss it at the moment), but I have never liked horror movies since the Exorcist days. Well, just for you and the upcoming Halloween holiday I’ve updated the site with the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
To be completely honest with you this film wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. Having never seen the original or any movie that continued the franchise I was kind of out of the loop on what was going on. Luckily, I had my beautiful wife by my side, who in all likelihood loves this kind of stuff. It was from her that I learned that this film answered a lot of the questions that you wouldn’t even think to ask.
Stuff like, how did the sheriff become the sheriff, when did they pick up that peculiar love of human, and was Leatherface always off his rocker. With her by my side I could concentrate on those points while she enjoyed the gore of the movie. My hat goes off to the sheriff of the diabolical family played by R. Lee Ermey.
He truly makes the film go round and is the most entertaining family member without a chainsaw in his hands. Every other actor not in this “family” is actually a throw away character. You don’t love them or hate them, but you cringe when they finally get it. I wouldn’t suggest this film for anyone under eighteen. It has plenty of gore, almost no sex, and easily fills in some of those missing gaps.
