Guys, Girls and a Jerk is the sequel to the film Stephanie, Nathalie, Caroline and Vincent. The events of the film take place five years later with Vincent now running a dating service. The dating service provides Vincent the opportunity to scope out the women who will be the next victim to his machoism. With the reintroduction of two of his exes he finds that his efforts to juggle them along with his girlfriend might come upon some snags.

Simon Boisvert reprises his role as Vincent the egotistical manipulator of people’s wills. When he opens his own business he opens the opportunity of meeting women that he already knows intimate details about. Will Vincent be shown the error of his ways or will he manipulate his way into a host of vulnerable women? For a movie that was made on a budget of fifty thousand dollars this film is surprisingly good.

Vincent entrances you as he goes about convincing women at one point that he is the man of their dreams, and at the very next point ditching them like so much wasted trash. You wonder while watching the film what these women are seeing in him? He’s not the best looking man in the room, or the most polished of dressers but he seems to have the right words to maneuver the women to where he wants.

Could it be that Vincent is seen by the women as the bad boy? The one that no one wants to bring home to mother, but yet still are enticed by what makes him tick? Some of that seems to be true, but the character is more subdued. There are instances when the controlling nature comes out but it is very well hidden most of the time. What you might find yourself thinking is the emotional state of the women he goes after. Caroline (Natasha M.Leroux) and Stephanie (Diane Lewis) both have escaped his controlling grasp in the past, but for whatever reason they are drawn back for more.
